Title: Al Grillo Ford
Post by: acapulco350 on March 11, 2020, 11:51:15 AM
Looking for a license plate frame from Al Grillo Ford

I understand he was not in business for long but hoping one might be floating around somewhere

maybe one of you guys used to rent a basement apartment to Al Grillo and Jimmy Hoffa back in the day and they left a couple of boxes of stuff behind when they went on holiday

8) 8)

cheers Gregg

I dont think I have seen one before. The dealership used a decal to n the backs of cars. If you do find one let us know

Pete might be right.

I checked photos of the few cars I have from Al Grillo Ford (32 sold new were 1967 Shelby's) and none show a plate frame.
There was one '67 with a sticker on the left side of the trunk lid, but it was repainted black, so probably not applied when new.

In Grillo's case sometimes referred to as a "grave marker"

I believe the rev collection shows multiple Grillo cars
