I fought to get front pump out my C4 and found this small pin in the trans....not the penny.
I do not have a lot of C4 experience,but never seen a piece like it. Does not look to be broken off,but tip looks worn. I looked through the Ford shop manual and the books I have here,but nothing similar....any ideas?

Your welcome. I went to my library and pulled one of my transmission books and there it was.
