Title: Rear Axle bumper 1968 Shelby GT350
Post by: Corey Bowcutt on March 01, 2018, 08:03:58 AM
I purchased 2 new rear axle bumpers because my car did not have them.  The bumper is not symmetrical in that one corner has a much larger radius than the other.  I am wondering how to install these?  Should they be installed with the large fillet inboard or outboard?

Never noticed this design difference on originals. Might just be another reproduction part that is "close enough"

Lube the rubber, push and wiggle it into place and help get the edges of the interlock pass the opening with a nylon or plastic tool. Thast's how I do it
