My hazards quit working on my car a couple weeks ago. Everything else (blinkers, hi/lows, headlights, etc) works fine, but my hazards don't work at all. I tried replacing the hazard fuse with a fuse from O'Reillys, but that didn't work. I consulted a friend of mine that is knowledgeable on Shelbys, and he suggested that the Shelby's required a different fuse due to the additional tail light bulbs vs. your typical mustang (more bulbs require more current draw). When I search on Google and this site for the proper hazard fuse, I'm not able to find any information on the proper fuse. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your friend maybe thinking of later year Shelby's and not 67. Regular Mustangs parts used in the 67 Shelby headlight and tail light system from the factory. That is not to say improvements couldn't be made. Are you implying that the O'Reillys fuse blew immediately after you installed it?

The fact that the fuse didn't blow is a much better sign then if it did.If it had blown it would have indicated you had a dead short someplace.I would replace the flasher and see if that does it.You might check for power at the flasher when the hazards are on. If power at flasher and yet they don't work would be one indication that the flasher is bad. It would be helpful if you had the electrical manual book of the assembly manual set so that you can trace and identify wires etc.

When you say replace the flasher, are you talking about the fuse itself or something else? You are right about the assembly manual, I'll look into that. There is a lot of electrical work that I need to repair on this car, and the manual would be a great help. Thanks!
Flasher relay unit, plug-in part. Maybe get a replacement at the auto parts and then look for something like it under the dash and swap it.
('67 Ford Mustang Shop Service manual would be good to get)

Thanks for the input. I tried a new hazard fuse already, and it still didn't work (O'Rielly's part, but it was made in China...) I just pulled the original flasher and verified that I have power going to the fuse; however, I had power going to the fuse when the hazard switch was both on and off. Is that right?
Also, the flasher that I pulled was an Autolite C7AB-13350-A
It's a relay - not a fuse.
Yes, if you have power to/before the relay and not past the relay when the switch/knob is pulled-on it's probably the relay. Maybe another supplier - maybe one of the suppliers on the SAAC forum.

If the car has a reproduction turn signal switch, I would start there. If the bulbs work for turn signal and brake lights it will be something uncommon to the flasher and wiring.
I've gone thru a dissimilar issue with all lights working g except brake lights and it turned out to be the turn signal switch. Bought an NOS Ford unit and problem solved. There are at least 2 versions of the '67 switch on the reproduction market.
The flasher that I pulled off my car was an Autolite C7AB-13350-A, so I believe that it may be the original flasher. All the bulbs work for my turn signals and brake lights, but I tried to aftermarket flasher relays and it still didn't work.

Just confirming, I should have power going to the relay at all times (when the switch is activated and deactivated)?
power to the switch - pull/push knob sends power onto the relay for it to function - others will know better ...
(today has not been my day)
