Title: 1967 Shelby GT350 Invoice Question
Post by: Shelby_r_b on December 05, 2019, 01:51:09 AM
I've received my paperwork for #2666, and on the Shelby invoice one of the items listed is as follows:

"Closed Crankcase    $4.26"

I'm curious as to what this option represents.  Does this reflect a standard charge?  I just haven't seen it before.

Side note:  it was interesting to see that Mel Burns Ford ordered my Shelby with over $550 in options!  I had never looked up how much all the options totaled.  That's of extra cash.

Thanks!

My guess is a PCV system, possibly in conjunction with the Thermactor system?

What other options did your car have? I was under the impression they were all spec built, i.e. No options.

Yes, it is part of the Emissions System, we see this item in addition to the emissions on several occasions.

Considering you car has an automatic, air, emissions, radio, and the upgraded wheels it is not surprising the total options exceeds $500.
About the only option your GT350 didn't get was the Paxton supercharger, or the rally stripes (which I've never seen, and probably won't ever).

The prices for the options are listed in the SRG (1967 Shelby research group on Google) in the 'Mandatory and Optional options' post.
