Title: ? NOS N cast boss 429 flywheel
Post by: Harris Speedster on November 24, 2019, 08:14:38 PM
Guys,
I have had this flywheel since 1975 or so.
Ford box has fallen apart.
Has a sand scribed N with the number 607.
Letter and numbers are a good 1/2- 3/4 inch tall.

The N 607 is >> Sand scribed like a CJ on the back of the block
Flywheel Part # is C9AE- C

I personally have never seen a flywheel scribed like that?

Ring has C9AE 6384- A and then a S inside of a circle.

I had several Boss 9 cars over the years, not sure if it was a NOS unit from one of them or not,
Any help would be appreciated.
Need a application and value, going to be listed and sold here.
John

Ed,
Thanks for replying.
I had quite a few Boss 9 cars in the past.
I thought it was a new one from extra parts decades ago.
The N 607 I think was pretty specific to the Boss 9.

Anyway, I do have about 1/3 of the box, has the big Ford emblem in the round circle.
The other parts of the box were history, mostly from moving and dragging it to pick it up, stacking etc.

Had to clean the flywheel up, some tinge after 50 years or so.
Want to sell, do you think 550. is  a fair price, not high, not low?
John
Merry Christmas !
