Most restored 65's I have seen have radio delete plates with a couple having radios and front passenger fender mounted antenna's. I have even seen some with antenna's mounted on the passenger rear quarter. How did they come from Ford to Shelby, all radio delete and then the dealer or owner installed a radio after receiving it from Shelby or a mixed bag?
Obviously, no need for a radio with those sweet notes coming from the exhaust.
There wasn't a 'radio delete' for 65 (and later years). Unless the car was ordered with a radio (box checked on order sheet), the car didn't come with one.
'65 GT350 were typically not ordered with a radio by SA. There may be some cases were a radio was installed by the selling dealer to the original owner, the 65 registry would have most of that info.
if a car was entered in judged concours and it had a radio delete plate and an antenna, that would warrant a deduction
Unless driver was wearing headphones, can't really hear radio anyway.
