Well, that went fast. It's already sold!
I suppose someone looking for years for the right part or understanding the rarity thought it was worth the premium. They have typically been trading hands in the 2000-2500.00 range needing rebuilt when they have sold in recent years. I know of some that have sold privately for more the the auction radiator. Who knows when another will come along. ;)
The seller may have purchased the car just to sell the rad and then flip the car with an after market rad.
It pays to know your stuff. Hopefully someone on the forum purchased. The 3-65 date code seams to be very common for the G2's.
