Title: RIP Bill McLean
Post by: davidmclean on September 28, 2019, 03:57:58 PM
Bill McLean passed away on September 21, 2019. Bill worked in his teens at Shelby American from 1964 to 1966 on the show car and as a mechanic on Cobra assembly. He was preceded in death by his father James D. "Big Jim" McLean, VP/GM of Shelby. Bill enjoyed staying connected with the Shelby community, attending employee events, and hunting down his employee lease car now owned by Brett Holberg of Virginia Mustangs.

RIP.  More knowledge bases lost.  Write everything down for the next generation.  Everyone has something to say I believe.

So sorry to hear about Bill.

He shared so much about 6S033, which is the car you are referring to. I sent him numerous pictures during the restoration. Unfortunately, he was never able to see the car in person after it was completed.
