Title: 1966 Slip Yoke
Post by: anghelrestorations on April 06, 2019, 05:16:18 PM
Looking for a correct 1966 GT350 automatic slip yoke if anyone has an extra they can sell for a car I am working on.

Reference photos here probably the easiest to explain.  Email or message me if you have anything.

Hi Marcus,

A while back Kieth Champine and I were comparing the stampings on the slip yokes on our Hertz cars. 6S1568 has its original one, however that stamping is just a wee bit off center which makes it a little difficult to read. Later, Kieth put together a visual aid so one could see what he believes is the difference between an assembly line yoke for an automatic equipped car versus a four speed. You can always PM Kieth to discuss his findings. Attached are his document, and a photo of my yoke.  I hope this helps you identify what you need. Denny

6S1757 (4 speed) had the 22083-J3 slip yoke when I bought it in 1987, I believe it's original but no way to know for sure.

Climbed under 6S373 4-speed (took upside down photos with the yolk number facing up) and it's
22067-J
Pretty sure it's original, Looks about as old as Everything else
Cheers

GT350Lad,

Didn't check the Registry, C4 or 4-speed?

Thanks,
Kieth

Sorry Keith, I amended my original post, she is a 4 speed. And sorry Marcus for Hijacking your original post. This topic is interesting, should we move it over to its own topic?
