There are also videos of the following yeara shows on that site incl. the 1971 Shelby Europa GT500.
Travel back in time.

Great find!  Le Salon de l'auto is the Paris Auto Show, which took place in October of 1966. Nice GT40 and 1967 'Redlight' GT350. The other dash at 5:12 confused me at first, not sure what car that was from.

Rich, JD, what car number is this one?  I thought car no. 40, but it wasn't shipped to Switzerland until Feb '67.

TransamEd & Brian, thanks for the heads-up.

at 4:39 looks like a standard Shelby dash but the horn button is missing, also no grille emblem and no hood seal.

at 5:10 a different dash - not the same car - maybe a Cougar??

at 5:20 left side of deck lid emblem "Shelby" looks like it's missing (?) and the gas emblem looks convex, not "flat".

Might be a dark moss green car? car #40 was White, will look in the registry but it could be an early '67 event, not late '66, so late Feb or March?  car #156 went to Claude but it's an auto and I think I see the 4-spd shift knob but that would be completed too late.  Still looking.

I show eight cars going to Ford of Belgium. The first two shipped from SAI on 12/16/66. They were:

#147 (Medium Metallic Gray) and #165 (Dark Moss Green).

Could this be #156?

The question is was this Le Salon de l'auto 1967?  If so, then the date was October of 1966.  It happens every year in October in Paris.

Sorry Brian I obviously missed that, Oct '66 really does limit the cars that could have been there.

Hi all,
With a quick check of the registry it appears this must have been a show during the 1967 season. No cars were completed and shipped to Belgium until after Mid December and later....
Really like the Ford G.T. and the go kart display--note the title says 1967-- My bet would be this is #0147 or #0156 and it is a spring 1967 event...we must be able to pin a date on this.
Thanks for putting it up!!
Regards R.R.

Yes, I think the consensus is that it was #147 and the event was in early 1967.

The typo of the signboards points to Bruxelles as well...but this was indeed the 46th. Salon d'automobile, January 18-29th in Bruxelles. Sonoma.be is a belgium site, that covers the belgium Autosalon.

Yes, the video is confusing.  If you translate the statement, "Présentation des innovations automobiles au Salon de l'Auto 1967, comme le système anti-buée pour le pare-brise arrière, les triples essuie-glaces, les sièges en osier, ou les portières coulissantes...", it says:
"Presentation of automotive innovations at the 1967 Montreal Auto Show, such as the anti-fog system for the rear windshield, triple wipers, wicker seats, or sliding doors ..."

I thought it was the Paris Auto show, but I was wrong, but so is this statement about it being in Montreal.  In the opening seconds of the video you can see a 1967 fastback Corvette and in the distance you can clearly see the site of the Worlds Fair in Heysol in Belgium.
No. 0147 would make the most sense.

Our good friend from Germany (Szabo / Stephan) recently found more photos from the 1967 Brussels Auto Salon.
They appear to have been taken during set-up prior to the public opening.

Nice find Stephan!!! These need to be shared with everyone.

I should add the date of the Brussels show was in JANUARY 1967 from the 18th through the 29th.

That Cougar dash threw me off for a second as it was mixed in between the '67 Shelby footage.
Where's the Cougar? They don't share that exterior in the video footage...

Stephan found this photo too!    He digs deep...Nice!
