Post by: Harris Speedster on February 08, 2019, 11:22:53 AM
Guys,
Did the very early 67's have a late 66 sill plate emblem?
Thanks in advance,
John

Thanks JD.
I thought they were like the 66 plates, but was not quite sure.

Hello John,

Here is a cropped photo of the passenger side door sill plate emblem on 0100.  It was taken by Motor Trend on 12/12/66.

Thanks,
Eric

How early? I am about 70 north of Eric's vehicle. It used the second early style. Not the 66 style.

Saac has a great group of historians, yes that what its called !!!!!!!!!!!

Every detail, right down to a sill plate, that's true passion.
Thanks for the correct information I will need for mine,

So maybe less than 100 received the early 66 plate?
I again hope to get 45 out this coming spring, seems like I have said that before.
I remember seeing sill plates in boxes when I purchased it, but never gave them a second thought.
That was 1991, geez, you guys are getting old>>> ha
Want to get rid of my 69 Italia before I drag it in.
