Very cool. How did you find that? Were your searching on the period race tracks back in the day?
Thanks for sharing

image of completed auction item...
(I did not buy this)
So who on the Forum bought that. When it was first posted it was still a buy it now item. I'm guessing someone snagged it?
6s1640,
I follow the archival older stuff religiously.
Ben Harris helped design Road America, and he was an original stock holder in it.
Go to their History page, that is Ben throwing the finish flad down with Phil Hill a,d Sherwood Johnson going by at 130 MPH >> at the Grand opening and inaugural race at Road America. He had Harley and Zora there with GM concept cars.
We are submitting Ben for induction into the Watkins Glen Hall of Fame, think that's what they call it.
Go check out the Friedman collection of pictures, the link is herein SAAC . HENRY FORD MUSEUM has more on ben and shelby too.
Ben is pictured with Shelby in his Maserati, Dan Gurney and Sterling Moss.
Also the First International Kart championship races were held in Nassau too, he flagged all those also.
He was one of the few Officials licensed in AAA, SCCA and FIA.
I have to stop as I start rambling.
