Title: Ignition coil

What is the correct location and orientation of the ignition coil and engine tag for a none ac 67 GT500?? I have seen so many different configurations in so many pics that my head is spinning.

The most typical is the most forward bolt driver side on the intake manifold.

Very good. Thank you. How about the engine tag. I have a correct 428 tag. Are they generally present?.

Typically under the bolt holding the coil.
