Yes I believe they are still incorrectly reproducing that emblem

It's amazing how many of these incorrect emblems you see on cars that proclaim to be "concourse restored".

Why did Scott Drake reproduce them with a gold snake anyway?

Well... in their defense, I only see the 68 GT350 version available on The Scott Drake web site and only the GT500KR Cobra Jet version on Cobranda. Maybe this particular one is out of production and they were struggling to find this one to complete their tribute or restoration.
