Post by: azdriver on September 08, 2026, 09:33:13 PM
Supposed to have one or two of these clips? If two, where does the second one go?

Thanks, Pat

You are remembering correctly . 68 has two . The first one goes on the front shift control adapter plate holding bolt  as in the picture and the second one goes on the rear shift control bolt.

69 has a different shift control which explains the different mounting.

Your car your choice.I would suggest getting all of the 68 assemblyline manuals . The clips are illustrated in the electrical manual.

I had that wire holder clip made back in 2005 because it was very hard to find after everybody installed hurst shifters back in the day and if u dont install that clip your reverse wire can end up getting melted on exhaust pipe when not routed correctly.
