I had my 69 judged a few times and one area of concern was the underside overspray on the fenders. I have looked for days on the site for information and read a few posts describing overspray around the wheel lip. Would anyone have photos to share as I am trying to finish the front end of my car for the August event, and any help would be appreciated.

It seem like you may be overthinking it. the bottom side should be the base fiberglass ether the pink or the white. The fender was painted attached to the entire front clip (not on the body)and that front clip was attached to a fixture to hold it for painting. During the process of painting the topside body color the edges and the wheel lips there would be a substantial amount of overspray on the underside fiberglass. The amount varied from one painter to another or even the same painter from one clip to another. Informed enthusiasts and concours judges take those possible variations when considering if too much or too little. There is a lot of latitude. Hopefully the factory picture of the front clip being painted on the fixture will help you understand where more paint would get to the underside and why.
Here are some additional examples that hopefully will help. Just think and imagine the angles at which paint had to be applied to cover the visible planned surfaces then figure out where all the paint and overspray would travel and attach itself using a high pressure high volume guns of the time.

Some will notice that in a couple of pictures the dark gray "plastic" brackets have detached and are missing. in #1 and #4
TY for the information from both of you. As Bob mentioned I was over thinking the process. It makes sense the overspray would be faint as shown in Jeffs photos.
