This 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 was originally specified in red with optional rear seats, and it was sold to Courtesy Motors in Littleton, Colorado. The car was acquired by the seller out of California in 1985, and in 1989 the engine was rebuilt with a Boss 302ci block. The seller stored the car in Nevada from 1989 until 2025, at which point it was repainted and partially reupholstered. It retains HiPo heads and a four-barrel Holley carburetor, a four-speed manual transmission, and bucket seats with latch-and-link belts, and it also has a Monte Carlo bar. In 2025 new tires were mounted on the chromed 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels, and a replacement dual exhaust system was also installed. Driven roughly 30k miles by the seller, this GT350 is now offered in Nevada with a car cover and a California title in the seller's name.
The car was originally specified in red, and it was repainted in 2025 following a period of extended storage. The windshield, weather seals, and grille moldings were all replaced.
Chrome Magnum 500-style 15″ wheels were mounted with BFGoodrich tires in 2025. GT350s were factory-equipped with Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes as well as larger rear drums than standard Mustangs, and the car also has relocated A-arms.
The interior was redone with reupholstered bucket seats, a remanufactured tachometer, new door panels and interior chrome trim, and a replacement wood-rimmed steering wheel. An AM radio has been retained along with latch-and-link belts.
The steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer flanked by an ammeter as well as fuel-level, oil-pressure, and coolant-temperature gauges. A Cobra-branded 9k-rpm tachometer is center-mounted atop the dash. The five-digit odometer shows under 73k miles, approximately 30k of which were added under current ownership.
The seller reports that in 1989 the engine was rebuilt using a Boss 302ci four-bolt-main block, while the HiPo 289ci's camshaft, solid lifters, heads, and intake setup were reused. A Summit Racing header-back exhaust system was installed in 2025. A Monte Carlo bar spans the bay.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
SAAC documentation is detailed in the gallery along with included records.
The car has not bee actively registered in California since the 1980s, and the seller was told the plates no longer appear in the DMV's system. California bidders should review registration rules before committing to purchase.
This sold today for $117,501. 6S2263 sold in June for $118,000 and 6S1341 bid to $91,000 recently. Each car had its issues. Looks to me that the prices on non Concours restored, non engine and transmission matching car prices are dropping fast. This is true for 65/67 Hipo fastbacks as well.
