Was told its a real 70 Shelby gt500 not sure what number it is but was told it was a gold color originally?

I believe this one may be a recreation, somewhere in the back of my head I've seen the chassis before.
Only one Gold GT500 fastback, and as of today, I believe it is still Gold in color ;)
I agree not Gold to start. The one gold car was a special job for Goodyear
Lotsa mods!
Serial number says it all
Well he described the color wrong

Wonderful workmanship bringing a extreme modified car to life. With that said it pains me to see that striped out Shelby front clip. A shame IMO that they used a original car given a 6-cylinder generic fastback would have served just as good. Just my feeling others may have a different one.
That would be Grabber Orange
Not a Shelby anymore in my opinion
But really bad ass
Someone will put it back to original someday.

Wishful thinking I am afraid. Cost wise it will not make sense in the foreseeable future.
#3097

Correction - it was #3097... not much left of it.
His car his choice. If it has the VIN and is registered as 3097 it's still 3097. The value is totally in the hands of the next buyer. If he's a Shelby purist he'll base his offer on what it will cost him to put the car back to stock. If it's a nostalgia buyer looking to buy the car he wanted in his youth he may actually pay far above "stock" GT500 prices. Watch Resto Mods at the auctions if well done they pull more money than very nice stockers.
What an incredible collection he has.

Appears to be missing a Grabber Orange 69/70 ;)
