just got car #2972........been sitting for 4-5 years so going through the brakes........booster is not original so
looking for an original or best source for a reproduction.
Thanks!
car built July 1967......
Congratulations!!
I think you want a Midland Ross unit, you might have some luck checking with these guys, they rebuild units and may have one to sell you, and you might be able to send the one you have in as a core.

keep in mind the booster, spacer and master cylinder with the lid and the bail were all painted semi-gloss black as a unit out of the car. Also there is a silver and red sticker that goes on the lid. There were two stickers over the production run in '67 you want the second version as your car is later.

www.powerbrakebooster.com are great to work with. Had several boosters rebuilt by them and they can repaint as part of the process.
I usually watch eBay over time and eventually find a decent rebuildable core. Look for one not too corroded or pitted.
Just FYI before you spend $1200 on a NOS one: You'll likely want to send it for internal rebuild anyway. If it has the Ford oval on top, it is a service replacement part. You can sand and paint the oval away, but then why pay NOS pricing?
