Title: NORS Tan Distributor Cap
Post by: s2ms on June 07, 2026, 01:10:13 PM
Period NORS Filko FO-100HD tan cap, same as Ford B7AZ-12106-A, Autolite/Motorcraft DH-146, very rare performance part that's been obsolete for many years. Don't know much about these except that they were originally used with transistorized ignition. IIRC Randy Gillis(RIP) was a fan of using them. $150 OBO which includes USA shipping.

Please PM or email if interested.

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks John. This is also heavier, ~9oz, compared to a regular cap which is ~6oz.

All of those brass contacts compared to aluminum ones that a lot of caps have nowadays will contribute to that difference in weight.

Good point, I did use an NOS Motorcraft DH-6 cap with aluminum contacts for the comparison. The Filko cap actually has copper contacts except center post which is brass. I do have a few Filko FO-100 standard black caps (copper contacts) which weighed in at ~7oz.

How do these compare to the early Accel?
