Title: Amp meter hookup
Post by: Jess on May 25, 2026, 06:54:51 PM
Hi
I'm have a little bit of confusion on how to use a under the dash amp meter. I'm using a Ford mini starter with solenoid for mini starter.
I have the junction block and wiring harness for  a Alt. wiring harness with a factory Tach. I need to help here.
Thank you ,Jess

We can help but I'd like to know what year you have to make sure you get it correct.

  Slow down, we're all busy.
There is an illustration in the "Branda" 67 Shelby assembly manual as to what wire goes where.
Now you'll need to decide what Amp gauge covering to use (depending on what production era you built) and what junction block to use.
And don't forget to use an insulating grommet at the firewall of risk burning your car down.

These might help, guessing since you're doing a replica you're doing the later style.

Here too is where in the firewall to route through, as "roddster" noted above.

Also, note the wires are zip-tied to the Export brace on the passenger side.

also using the SEARCH at the top right can be a quick source ;-)
