Nice one.

Hard to tell how nice without detailed underside pics. To me that is very important as the value could be 10s of thousands depending on how the bottom looks.
I hope someone gets a deal and enjoys it!
It's odd that there are no pictures of the underside.

I have some I can post later today...
So this car says it comes with a National Shelby Registration Certificate. When i look that up it says they do not certify 1962-70 vehicles...???
Pat
Who says they dont certify??
My search brought up Shelby in Las Vegas and it said they dont do vintage cars. Dont really expect much from AI.
Pat
Oh, well thats probably better for everyone if they do what they do and leave the vintage cars to SAAC
That is a true statement Coralsnake because I still don't know how many supercharged grabber orange Shelby GT's there are and they have a registry that my car is in and they gave me the paperwork. Not a gripe or wine on my part but at some point, it would be nice to know the car is a 2008.

nice underneath. Are the structural plates on convertibles primer red or a diff color like slop gray batch paint like 69s?
They are black

thanks. Mine was black on my 70 and repainted it black when restored 26 years ago but thought I saw somewhere 69s(70) were a catch paint like a very dark gray or black(vary). Of course that's Dearborn so was wondering about Metuchin. Thanks again.
Shouldn't there be pinch weld blackout overspray, or is that only on fastbacks?

Yes the process (exterior painting) was the same no matter the body type. Coupe, Fastback or convertible traveling down the NJ assembly line.
Forgotten, missed or just ignored by some/many at this point in the hobbies evolution but people building drivers or sort of restored cars often choose to skip the step.
Coralsnake if you know the seller, let me know. I was the 2nd highest bidder. I'm only an hour from the location. Thanks
I dont think I know the owner, but you might want to send me an email

You will never know the answer. They hide the registry because if everyone knew there have been 130,000+ NEW Shelbys built people would realize they are not a rare collectable.
The certificate they show is the one that comes when you paid CS to autograph something. Since I don't see a signature on the dash I'd assume if came with one of the diecast cars they sell.
