Title: My 1965 Mustang Track Car on BaT...
Post by: 6s341 on May 08, 2026, 12:37:28 PM
Hi Folks,

My 1965 Mustang Fastback race car that I've enjoyed for the last 22 years is now on BaT, and the auction ends this coming Tuesday.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1965-ford-mustang-870/

It has participated in the last three West Coast SAAC Conference vintage races at Sonoma, and got second place in 2021.  It's a fun car to drive, but I'm now racing a Datsun 510 and focusing more on street driven Mustangs and Shelbys.  Feel free to check it out, make a comment or bid, and/or share it with an interested friend.  Thank you and enjoy your weekend!

Good luck with the auction, Craig.  I enjoyed watching you drive the Sonoma circuit.

I did put in a bid and I would love to put this in my stable but I fear my wife would bury me alive if I brought home another race car........ but ya never know. ;D

Thank you QSS, it's a fun car, you'll enjoy it if you win...and there's a seat for your wife to cruise around the track with you!

Oh I know your baby would be a ton of fun.  I already have two track cars (both Ford factory track cars) and I get one back next week from the suspension damage I caused last year by hitting a curb.

One of the considerations I have is that I need a bigger shovel...... you know...... to keep shoveling the money in order to keep me on track.  I know you know what I mean.  I had a look at your invoices on BAT for all the hard work you've put into your car over the years.  Money well spent if I do say so myself.

These are first world problems, but they're still problems ;D .
