I am guessing the front coils were replaced with Eaton brand. I have had four pairs of Eaton brand coils and they all needed a half a coil cut out even after the Eaton owner swears that they are made to factory specs. Others that I talked to have had the same problem. Same with their rear leaf's. FYI S9MS Shelby leaf's are different lengths compared to a regular Mustang. All except the top leaf that the front eye rubber bushing is pressed into. And no, the switching of just the bottom leaf doesn't get it on the typical 69/70 Shelby unlike other year leaf springs where you can switch the bottom leaf and no one will be the wiser. The bottom leaf typically sets parallel with the ground instead of contoured like a regular Mustang. A sagging set of original rear leaf's can be re arched to save the unique original set. If you press in a new front eye you will save about 300.00 over a new repro pair besides saving the Shelby unique originals in the process.

[/quoted]I bought rear leafs from Eaton springs 26 years ago for my very. The height was spot on but had rub issues with my 245s when hitting bumps on the fabulous Mi roads. so I brought them to their facility in Detroit and while I waited they re-arced them and gave me another 3/8s. My fronts are my originals. I'll put my original rears back on the car someday.
The back end doesn't look too bad to me. And if the pictures were taken at the same angle, the gap would be a little closer looking. But with lower one being taken from a higher angle, that's why the gap looks to be a little less in my opinion. Both great looking cars though.

Agreed on the price. Almost too good a buy. Perhaps the seller had to get off it? Personally I believe he left some $ on the table. I was thinking more like a 110/115k reserve and then see where it goes-esp. given the color combo etc. Easy for me to say from the sidelines...

had a friend who I helped buy a similar car. He paid 120k then sorted the fresh resto out. Then he died quickly from cancer but helped him sell it before he did. I believe he got between 115-120k for it. GO white car. This color isn't as popular so I'd expect lower but not 102k. Who knows? Is it what's going on in the world dropping prices on many classics? Time will tell.
Well, I didn't mention it but dropping prices is a concern. Or, maybe this was just a one off... which is what I'm inclined to think. Either way, good timing for the buyer.

not me. See this 68 6 cyl convert? Seems like a great start for a clone and cheap at 12k today. I was told by a friend who looked at the offering for Mecum spring and said it was pretty weak.
I actually think six digits for a GT350 is solid.
I saw a video that said these big companies have been consolidating and they are effecting the price structures?
