a customers car
1967 Intermeccanica TORINO, same design as ITALIA
289 hipo, top loader, ford 9 inch basic floater
It is the same owner for 40 years.
She Fires up by an old moon tank.
Needs disc brakes rebuilt, gas tank cleaned, maybe a new fuel pump to make drivable
Well intentioned stripping to bare metal over 80% of the body. Nice body, no hits,
The original interior is quite outstanding
Some rust in lower rockers, one small corner of pass floor pan.

It is being offered for a steal at $39,000. Or offer

John, my apologies for missing your call(s), I've been out of the country. I did not know the intermeccanica Torino came originally with a Ford power plant let alone a Hipo 289. Very interesting car. Please do send the pictures to paulrmarvin@icloud.com.

Started as an outgrowth of the Apollo GT by Jack Griffith as the "TVR 600/GT" with Ford 289's, whom after a short production went belly-up, so then Intermeccanica began producing them as the "Omega" with Chrysler engines, but then with a participant change it then became the "Torino", back with Ford power, but although Ford might have appreciated the engine sales, they didn't get along on the name, so then it became the "Italia".  :P

I wanted to add that their is a nice hardbound History book that was printed about two years ago. It covers this car for color, engine, trans, dates built etc.
Like a Shelby American book, no names though !

John, I did NOT get any pictures. If you emailed them to me, please confirm you wrote my email address correctly. My address has an 'r' between my first and last name. Can you also post a picture of the registry writeup?
