Title: License plate lamp shield
Post by: aj on April 01, 2026, 03:02:04 PM
Did AOSmith leave the rear license plate lamp shield on 69 70 shelbys.  Im talking about the 24 inch long rubber strip curled up under the rear bumper.  Thanks

Discussion and pictures on the shields for 67-70 Mustangs

I've installed them in the same direction and using the same hardware as found on 69 Dearborn built Mustangs but have a picture of one installed up side down on a unrestored car. Of course it does not serve any real purpose on a Shelby as it did on a Mustang sine the location of the license plate is different as are the light(s) locations but still have those examples of them being present on completed 69 Shelbys

Number of posts with pictures and discussion some easier and more complete to just share the link. They are available (get the right one for 69's) from a number of resellers
