Title: firewall sealing
Post by: SAcobra427 on March 28, 2026, 04:51:48 PM
Would anyone have a picture of the firewall showing the the sealer/under coating that was sprayed all around the heater hose area along with the brake booster area. I'm wondering if everything that was attached to the firewall was in place when the spraying was done. Also what is a good product to use replicate this ?
Thanks Tom

Posted the same on CMF when asked but figured not everyone gets over there daily and hope others can benefit when they find this thread when using the search feature in the future.

Difficult to get the product around and sort of behind the brake booster, as well as getting pictures of the area but here is what I found in my pictures.

As far as the heater hoses. Like other plants the practice of sealing around the hoses with some strip (dum dum) chalking was hit or miss bases on what unrestored examples I have

Make sure no sealer on ammeter/oil wires or grommet. Those installed after sealer
