Title: Help with wheel delivery in NC
Post by: BGlover67 on March 11, 2026, 10:19:13 AM
I'm hoping somebody on here can give me some sound advice just like you always have. I just purchased four restored original  Magstar rims with speedways mounted on them from a gentleman up in Philadelphia. Serendipitously, he is coming down to North Carolina to purchase a car and he can bring the four mounted wheels for me. My only issue is that the place he is going to is five hours away from my house so it's a 10 Hour drive both ways. The wheels are being dropped off in Hayesville, NC 28904 and I live in Chapel Hill, NC 27517. I've been trying to find a company that will ship wheels, but nobody wants to touch it unless it's a car nobody's very much interested. Does anybody have any suggestions? Does anybody live near Haysville? If I could get the wheels to the Charlotte area that would also be a huge help if anybody travels that way. Thanks for reading this either way.

It looks like he will be going right by my house (in Asheville)on his way from Philly to Hayesville. He is welcome to drop them here and we can figure out a way for us to meet up somewhere.

Time for a road trip. Or get someone to strap them onto a pallet and send a trucking company to pick them up.

Thanks to everybody that made suggestions. I think we may have an answer. It looks like he'll be passing by Asheville and Dave E (6T6Shelby) has graciously offered to hold onto the wheels till I can come get them.
