Title: Cobra tie pin
Post by: deathsled on February 26, 2026, 07:22:55 PM
I found this on eBay. Though it is not an original piece from the 60s it looks like Levi's had a collaboration with a pin making company called Pintrill. I have not seen another like it anywhere. I will get some use out of it for court. Looks like it has never been worn.

I saw what purported to be an original from the 60s for sale on eBay but it was all roached out with very little paint remaining, but it could have been repainted with a fine paint brush and enamel paints I suppose.  I looked at two exemplars from Mecum and the eyes are much larger on the two that are claimed to be originals (one being from the Atzbach Collection) so I was not quite as sure whether the eBay one was an original unless it was a different iteration later on in production. The eBay one was offered to me at $95 but I passed on it. Looks like it sold for their original asking price of $159. It looks different from the ones confirmed by Mecum.

And an original from the former Virginia Mustangs.
