Post by: Rickmustang on February 18, 2026, 09:14:33 AM
Kirby's Radiator Service in Ft. Worth, Texas. They did a 429CJ and Boss 302 radiator for me. Tell Reid that Rick recommended.

I hope they used the correct core as we have had to replace many rads with wrong core too many tube rows or not correct wideth tubes as these big blocks need all the cooling volume they can get as they run hot after being  rebuilt bored out blocks.

Yes. The correct core was used. It  took an extra week to get and cost $100 more. Total was almost $900 on the 429 radiator.

Vern small blocks are just to easy and simple to work on. My last  69 special order big block original type core and reassembly cost me $1600.00 and i did all prep work cleaning striping and getting tank dents out.
