Title: Cross-Boss Intake Manifold
Post by: RickD on February 08, 2026, 07:52:51 PM
There is a Cross Boss intake set up on BaT at no reserve that was designed for Ford's Boss 302 Trans Am Racing engine.  I have no connection to the intake but I do wish I had a 302 to put it on.

Neat piece of history but single Holley carburetion is the most functional and why these never caught on and to this day still get pulled off.

Bigfoot,
I disagree I have installed and supported a couple of these intake carburetor combinations. They are not just a bolt on drive it down the road setup. They require tuning, modified ignition curve, playing with bleeds and jets within reasonable limits.

The problem becomes when someone installs one, or has one installed and then never tunes it. With an analytic plan the CROSS-BOSS runs very well.
