This seems to come up with some regularity . I found this video where its explained.

They do use Shelbys as bait, but remember there is a huge database of photos kept by Shelby club members that can usually identify any car.

If it looks like a great deal, it is probably a scammer

Thanks for posting this alert. I just watched the video. Sad to know so many of these people are out there.

I've pictures of my car on sites that are supposed to have it for sale. It's sometimes a different VIN number, but it will have my tag on it. A lot come from photos Jerry Heasly took for an article over 10 years ago. They just make a copy and claim to own the car or are selling the car "for a friend who is old and doesn't us the internet"
