Has anyone had any luck soaking the entire4 axle in Evaporust bearings and all? The face of the axle and the axle itself are pretty rusty from sitting but didn't know if the Evaporust would hurt or damage the axle bearing?

I did this with a set but taped off the bearings to not expose the bearings to the solution. I also used a shallow pan with just enough so the bearing was above the level of liquid. I would think if your axles are rusty inboard of the bearings it's probably a good idea to have the bearings replaced. The evaporust can be washed away with clean water so if you were comfortable submerging then you would want to thoroughly wash and lubricate them soon after.

You might also consider using distilled white vinegar for rust removal. Various concentrations are used depending on rust severity. Lots of videos available on the web. I use it with great success on car radio casings.

You could just set a bucket, bowl or basin where the level of the Evapo rust or similar product just comes to the spot behind the hub and just soak that end by standing the axle up on end
I've always used agricultural grade molasses / water mix. It does a better job than evaporust and is less expensive. Works especially well on cast iron.looks like it was just cast after soaking. If the bearings have any sign of rust, replace them.

what is the end result you are looking for from using the evaporust?
Do you have the name of the agricultural grade molasses / what is your mixture ratio?

Here ya go:
For removing rust with agricultural molasses, the common ratio is 1 part molasses to 9 or 10 parts water, though stronger mixes like 3:1 or 5:1 (water:molasses) are also used for faster results, often with hot water to help dissolve it, requiring soaking for days or weeks depending on rust severity, then scrubbing and rinsing well to prevent flash rusting.
Why dont you take them apart and do the job correctly?
I would consider it but I can't find the axle sleeves anywhere to reinstall.
