As near as I can tell no one makes repro light teak instrument cluster insets for early Mustangs like mine. The originals are in good shape with the exception of some rattle can paint over spray and a nick on the clock trim piece.
Any suggestion on how to clean the paint off and touch up the nick?
Restoration progress continues.

What are your expectations? If you are expecting a touch up that makes the nick invisible or close to invisible than that is most likely unrealistic IMO. If you are wanting to make the nick invisible so as for example to pass scrutiny in a concours venue then I would start looking for a undamaged panel. That most likely will mean buying another panel and undamaged insert. If you end up buying a panel and insert assembly then after you use the donor insert you attach it to the panel that came with the donor and sell it as a assembly. At least that is what I would do. Best of luck solving your problem.
Thanks Bob. Acetone took off the rattle can over spray without harming the light teak panels.
Just have the one ding on the clock trim i need to deal with.

Here is an idea, possibly a dumb idea but an idea none the less....... take the panel to a fine Furniture Store and match it up with a Piece of Wood Furniture then ask the Sales Person for the matching Touch Up Crayon or Touch Up Paint. They are usually a Dead On Match.
Thanks. Worth a shot.
I may have found a NOS set for about the same price as the walnut repros. Waiting to see.
