Is a stock GTH faster than a stock Mustang
GT ?
So that's a big YES.
These 2006 - 2007 "Black & Gold Bad Boys" the Shelby Hertz GTHs where faster than the regular Mustang GTs.
WHY ?
Its elementary my dear Watson.
Modifications made by the Shelby American Automobiles in Las Vegas mechanical and cosmetic equipment was installed.
Each GTH received the Ford Racing FR1 Power Pack with a 90mm cold air kit cold air kit, ECU flash, X pipe and exhaust.
The differential was completely swapped out and a new one installed with 3:55:1 rear end and upgraded rear-end bushings.
The FR3 Handling package with stiffer springs, dampers and sway bars.
Not to mention the gold stripes, special hood, side scoops and hood pins. This physiologically affected any challenger on the street.
Oh and that distinguished "enumerated C.S.M." plate on each black and gold bad boy had to have some influence on its superior horsepower rating.
There you have it....an instant modern day affordable classic collectible.
