I thought I would mention that just because a option or combination is rare doesn't automatically mean that it is especially desirable.

Thats the car gas monkey bought while he was in oregon then flipped it and it showed up at may indy mecum and i talked a  local mopar guy into buying it as it is a very original car bought from OO. The guy who has it now has a 70 pink TA challenger and he wanted this odd colored shelby to go with the pink car.

It sold at Mecum for $121K. I like orange Shelby's but the red interior is not my taste.

Yea it's a rare color combo for a reason.........maybe someone wrote down wrong interior color.

There is a 1970 Mustang 428 car that is a dark blue with the vermilion interior that was built around Halloween that is referred as the Pumpkin car

Yes, real, still wearing it's original paint. I am friends with the son of the original owner and posted that picture a few years ago.

I recently inspected the unique loaded gold  with gold deluxe interior goodyear exec shelby for the new owner in florida and its a great car with original paperwork to document its build and a good story on it being built. Its still very original and low mile with some unique options electric windows and antenna and a air shock leveling system under hood with an interior  pressure gauge under dash also 15x7 boss magnum chrome wheels. This shelby was a color at A O Smith to gold and its headliner is gold also to match the gold seats so not sure when the gold headliner was installed as that would mean the windshield and rear glass would have to be removed to change it out from black or white. This car still has the original sport grip 500 steering wheel cover installed from new back at aosmith.

The 70 grabber orange red interior shelby was supposed to be at our INSAAC fall classic show as we got the missing incorrect parts here together for it but it was in a trade deal so not sure if it will show up now as i think its the most oddly colored unique shelby ever made and thats what makes it special.

True we put "the" in front of the highway number.  However, Pacific Coast Highway is always just PCH.  Never The PCH.  Those not SoCal born and raised sometimes put "the" in front, but not us natives.

Yeah, you told me I had to go see the car when I was at spring Mecum as I missed it earlier and almost puked when I saw it. To me it just doesn't go like white/red interior does.

If you are born and raised in L.A. Everything is an abbreviation, there are so many FWYS, roads and canyons we would need a nap after discussing a normal day of driving. It is funny to hear those that are not from here, (try to fit in like a local). We dont give long descriptions of people places or things! Taking the 5- 405-10-2-210-710-15-215 You get the point. Its NOT CALI its SO- CAL, its not THE Pacific coast highway its PCH or Topanga canyon, Laurel canyon, Malibu ETC. Welcome to SO CAL..... the 5th largest economy on planet earth! ;)

+1 although it has become a real sewer to those of us who grew up here in the 50/60s. The decline seemed to start in the mid 70s and it's been downhill ever since.
This gas station is in downtown LA - in the burbs it's "only" $4.50 - $4.80. (gave you a little local dining tip)
This is how it was allover just not in Hollyweird.... Hollywood Boulevard was considered much seedier and less safe in the 1970s. Characterized by open drug use, prostitution, gang activity, and general neglect creating an atmosphere of urban decay, though some areas remain sketchy now. The '70s saw the "sleazy" era in full swing, with heavy drug culture and a less-touristy, more hardcore vibe compared to modern times.

True there are many areas that would be considered a cesspool... but most of the state is a golden nugget compared to other places. To keep people out the prices are kept exponentially high. A starter home begins around 750k in SO CAL, in much of the country it is around 250k for fresh air, fresh water, 1/2 acre,2 car garage, 2.50 gallon of gas. BUT those states believe everyone is in the 7.50 hr. salary range, with little opportunity for advancement. It has always been a tradeoff..... Great opportunities- OR a slow pace with little room to advance and just enjoy watching your fields grow. :-[
