Here are a few pics I took of the show. I really didnt want too, but as I walked on, I felt compelled too. It was great to see some Shelbys up close and in person. Met some really cool guys as well. This event was pretty intimate, The girls an I enjoyed it.

Where was it this year?I miss the S.M.Pier....
I only snapped a few pix inside. But it was great to see this AC - a recently purchased seven figure prototype at a different show. Anyone growing up in SoCal during the 50s & 60s will remember the fresh baked goodies delivered to your door by the Helms man. This is the real Stone Woods & Cook gasser. We used to pedal our bikes 3 miles to Irwindale dragstrip when we knew it would be running.
Lions museum - 100,000 sq ft of SoCal drag history. It puts the NHRA museum to shame.

Jim Marietta is the one building them. There was a small crew of original employees involved in the first one Jim. Ted Sutton, Pete Brock. The car at the show has all the final tweaks that were planned for the R Model. Most didn't make it due to time and cost restraints - and it was winning so why develop further? They got a license to build 36 of them from SA. They have done a couple to original specs and had them FIA inspected to vintage race in Europe.
