Post by: Cobrask8 on August 18, 2025, 09:15:56 AM
OK locals, help us long-distance attendees out. We gotta pack one bag, so not wanting to have to stuff it.

What can we expect?

Followed by more hot, with a late afternoon break into semi-miserable.

Coming from Texas, the weather in Sonoma looks rather pleasant IMHO

Do NOT look online for the weather in San Francisco if you want to know what the weather is like at Sears Point.

Right now, it looks to be in the low nineties on Thursday, but in the eighties for the weekend.

Right now, I'd be more concerned about the Friday night traffic in the Bay Area when driving to Martinez.

Pray for a little breeze.

The black top can add another 5-10 degrees on a hot day. Or at least it will feel that way.

Hydrate today for tomorrow, find some sunscreen and get a hat.

Guys, it's going to be in the low 80s so not that bad at all. Use 95476 for zip to check weather.

Guaranteed? Hope your right.  They raised their prediction of our weather highs about 2 hours away, 10 degrees higher today from yesterday. You can also add about 10 degrees often for the black top in the summer on that hill side that faces east for a nice morning preheat. But this year has been a mild one by comparison to some more recent years.

From my experience of Calif weather people they often have worst records than many baseball players :) Maybe because their bore since it doesn't change much compared to almost every where else in the country.

It will be a great show either way. Just everyone take care and watch each other for the signs. Don't want to be that guy or lady.

Glad I canceled, I can only imagine how miserable the outdoor on the asphalt Concours Judging will be.

SO, what you are saying is, a Cold Front is rolling in.

It's simple - The Friday dinner says 60s dress. To me that means Levis, Keds and a white JC Penny T shirt. Bring that ensemble and clear up some space for the wife to bring her stuff.

I arrived here last week to attend Monterey Motorsports Classic events which was awesome and staying with my son in Berkeley.  You should bring shorts and bring a sweatshirt.  Next few days will be in the 80's while at Sonoma but this is NorCal so cool in the early morning and evenings may even get some Bay fog but very low humidity.  And of course long pants for track and if cleared anywhere in the grid.  It will be perfect weather.  But dress for cool at times.

Weather yesterday up in Windsor (DemBeste's) was 104 degrees! BUT 0/NO humidity which I absolutely love. Hot & Dry
Weather today up at Sonoma raceway was a very pleasant high 70's low to mid 80's with a slight breeze. Again absolutely great.
Attached pic, I guess are cars waiting to be judged but the pic is to show the sky and weather. Also cars for the TA race.

Cheers,

Believe that picture is of the area where they had special parking for the Shelbys if you brought one and would be (on Sunday) the popular vote judging area. Concours judging was down to the left along that same road you see behind the low black moveable fence line you see at the rear of that one photo. You can see the two tall tents to the left in the back in that same picture.

hot weather and nonfactor for Friday and Saturday at the Concourse area. Those who chose not to come really missed about is perfect as the weather gets. 80° slight breeze all day just perfect. Lot a great car showed up too and even GT 40 a comp car and a cobra weren't afraid of a little bit of sunshine.

Well Tim, considering the disappointments I have had in SAAC judging, I decided if I was going to get bashed, being outside on the asphalt was just a bridge too far....... 8)
