Title: Ballast wire replacement
Post by: astat1 on August 01, 2025, 09:23:50 PM
I'm about to embark on the replacement of a faulty pink resistor wire. I have the motorcraft replacement and shop manual that lists the details, but until I'm under the dash it's a bit unclear. Does anyone experienced with this have any pointers or wisdom that will help with this?
Thanks

It is simple and straight forward. You are just replacing the old with the new and the hardest part, which is not difficult, is routing the new wire through.

Try not to bend it severely since that would stress the internal for the long run.

Don't run it near the exhausts.
