Title: Virginia Mustang has been sold
Post by: JWH on June 28, 2025, 11:51:21 PM
It is with mixed emotions I let the forum know Brant Halterman is retiring and has sold Virginia Mustang to the folks at Kentucky Mustang. I'm am saddened to lose an excellent resource for parts and knowledge but wish Brant many years of excellent health and enjoyable retirement.

Brant,

I wish you all the best in your retirement. Thank you for all you have done

for our hobby over these many years. It`s always a pleasure to see you and have a

little conversation about our sharded passions. I hope to see you in the near

future at an upcoming event.

Sincerely, Rob Beck

Good luck Brant, in your retirement. Now you can enjoy your beautiful cars full time.
However, I will miss your special parts that you made over the years for the 65's.
You are an honest and good man.

Both win-win situations for the seller and buyer.

Brant best wishes on your next life chapter!

And

Best of luck to Kentucky Mustang on their new acquisition / purchase expansion !

Now comes the hard part, keep both names or merge and standardize ?

Lots to consider for the purchaser :

Brand equity: The strength and recognition of each brand involved.

Market position and product fit: How well the brands' offerings align or complement each other.

Cultural compatibility: The level of alignment between the merging companies' cultures.

Customer expectations and preferences: How customers perceive the brands and what they expect from the new entity.

Long-term growth potential: Which naming strategy best supports future market expansion.

Thank you for the comments and thanks to all of the great customers over the years.

Some of my "favorite" customers are, of course, all of you 65-66 GT350 owners. Obviously, those particular cars are the biggest part of my passion and will continue to be so.

I'm not really going anywhere and will still be heavily involved with the cars.

Many of you have asked about my Blog, and that will remain. It will continue to be personally maintained by me with pictures and information covering various projects, restorations, and events.

Brant, it's difficult for me to believe that you're old enough to retire since I'm so old, I remember doing business with your father. Thanks for all the great parts and service. Wishing you and yours health, happiness and many safe miles in retirement. You're a class act!

Interesting as of my last few orders, I either got inferior parts or the wrong part. My last part that was wrong was 65-66 rear quarter endcap rubber gasket was totally wrong, what they sent was 69-70 front headlight bucket gasket. The time before that I ordered a 66 battery shield for the pos terminal to the side wall, which broke in half because it was brittle. Guess I am out of luck returning the parts for a refund.

Congratulations Brant.  Virginia Mustang was my first Mustang catalog in 1986!  I was 16 years old, and I just bought my '66 Coupe. I have been a customer ever since.  Brant has been so helpful to me, and I want to wish him the best in a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

Thanks for all the help over the years Brant, in both the Shelby and Corvette worlds we both lived in. I know you will enjoy retirement, I sure have over the last 15 years, so many things to do and so little time though.
I am reminded now that I need to order those pedal pads for 5S230.......

Is Virginia Mustang shutting down and everything moving to the Kentucky Store? I would have though both Stores would stay as is, same Locations, same Employee's.
