Title: Original Driveshaft Value?
Post by: Johnkn on June 27, 2025, 06:10:19 PM
Greetings,

I've got what I suspect is the original driveshaft from 6S383 (I sold the car a few years ago).  Does it have any value (here or to the K-code guys) or does it get cut up and recycled?  The car was converted to a T5Z prior to my ownership.

Thanks....

It likely does especially if its not pitted and does not need rebalancing since often drive line shops remove original weights and replace them with different ones.

Internal clip driveshaft (65/66)components are hard to find now days and consequently have value.

It also has value if the yokes have not warn out and the u-joints are tight.  I have an original drive line but the forward end yoke is warn out.  The u-joint cap can be rotated in the yoke.  Do I cut off the warn yoke and have a better yoke welled on or just have another drive line shortened?

Best of luck

Cory
