Title: My 1968 J Code Fastback: GT350 Tribute
Post by: SGT.SNAKE on June 22, 2025, 05:23:12 PM
Hello Guys,

I recently became the proud caretaker of a 1968 GT350 Tribute car. From what I've gathered, the previous owner had a strong vision for this build, but sadly, I believe he has since passed. The car was auctioned, changing hands, and has now found its way to me. Originally Wimbledon White, and once yellow, it now wears black with white stripes. While I'll be making a few subtle changes to make it my own, my goal is to preserve and honor the spirit of what the OP had set out to do.

Engine layout aside, I'm hoping to create an accurate tribute and I'd be deeply indebted to anyone willing to share knowledge, advice, or resources to help guide me along the way.

Attached are some photos from the original listing. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Thanks
Joel

That's the spirit!

Remember this is your car and you can do whatever you like to it.

Maintaining belief in your vision is a crucial part of the creative process and completion of your project.

Block out all those naysayers with discouraging comments that lack substance or come from a place of doubt rather than support.

Always remember that perseverance is the key to success.

Keep plugging away at your project and best wishes!

Thank you sir. I know it will never be an original, but I know once it's gone through, there will be no unexpected surprises and it'll be a well-sorted tribute. And, who knows, maybe one day, it might lead to a real one.
