Title: 1967 GT500 1508
Post by: edd1e22 on April 27, 2025, 08:22:49 PM
Just a heads up on this car which was on eBay but didn't meet reserve at 197k and it's also posted here for sale.

The current owner is a body shop fix and flip guy named Matt Veale out of Nevada. The car was pretty rusty and he had to cut out floor pans and also other areas underneath. He claims that the drive train is all matching but based on the photos, it appears that the transmission is not matching. I pointed this out and he got pretty irate and hung up on me.

I saved all the photos into an album and will share with anyone that may be interested.

Have you contacted Dave Mathews the SAAC '67 Shelby Registrar, he'd probably like to have some of the current images if he doesn't already.

I've seen a couple photo's of the car when it was owned in Ohio dated 2019 and the car was primer red/brown like the photo in the current registry.

I did send the link to Dave.

I checked eBay but it appears the auction has been removed.

Seems flippers don't like it when you look too close and you know what you are looking at.
