1969 GT500 9in axle
Attempted to remove the rear axle flexible brake hose for replacement however the the front to rear hard line fitting is frozen in the inlet portion that clips to the floorpan.
I used a quality line wrench and slowly applied a LOT if torque. (thoroughly soaked overnight in WD40)
Did not break loose however the hex is ever so slightly deformed.
Don't want to risk rounding it out.
What are some good suggestions, a little heat, grind a channel into the fairly thick round fitting first before
applying heat ?
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I don't know if this will work but I've seen some videos of people applying heat to old rusted fittings. Then melting in Crayon's. Then apply some heat again and apply the wrenches to see if it breaks loose.
But see if others have better ideas.
Tony, I would suggest using Kroil, it's the best by far. WD-40 and PB Blaster aren't even close
Kroil is available online, can't buy in stores.
Spray it on, let it sit the day then spray it again before you go at it.

1st rule get a good line wrench .
take clip off after soaking kroil / or pb blaster . wd 40 is useless
remove line from rear axle and unscrew line 1st then you can deal with frozen flare fitting .
do not heat line with flex hose attached ! it will end badly .

Sounds crazy but try to tighten it a little bit before you loosen it.Just a old pipe fitter trick

As mentioned Kroil is one of the best available penetrating products. If it can soak
Overnight all the better. Something that has helped me many times is a flare nut type
Crow foot wrench. The working space you have may allow it to fit. Heat seems to work
The best in all cases, but the danger of a flex line blowing fluid on you is present unless you drain the lines. All you need to do is warm up the line fitting. Toughest one was crossthreaded and that adventure meant cutting/sacrificing the flex line fitting open to save the steel line fitting. Best of luck
