It's been way too long since we have all gotten together, let's fix that.  You are cordially invited to attend the 2025 SAAC Carolina's Spring Event.

When:   Saturday, May 10th, 2025      11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Where:  Shelton Vineyards, Dobson, NC

Located in the heart of North Carolina's Yadkin Valley, Shelton Vineyards is 180 degrees from any winery you will find on the West Coast. The distinctive characteristics of Shelton wine come from the unique soil and climate of the Yadkin Valley. This helps give Shelton wine an inimitable taste that holds its own against any wine from any area in the world.

The winery officially opens at 11:00 am, but please arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 am to begin parking vehicles.  Also, there is ample space for trailer parking.  The Hampton Inn & Suites at Shelton Vineyards is a newly renovated accommodation available to all in case you want to come in the night before, or stay over.

Wine tasting is available as the tasting room opens at 11:00 am.  There is live entertainment from 1:00 until 4:00 pm and a restaurant called the Harvest Grill is located on the premises, though you are welcome to pack a picnic lunch and purchase a bottle red or white to enjoy and fully immerse yourself in the aviance.  I've attached a menu for the Harvest Grill, reservations are suggested.  If you reply and state you would like to patronize the restaurant, I'll secure group seating for us all.

The grounds are a visual treat guaranteed to lower your blood pressure better than any Beta-Blocker ever could.  Historically, this winery has hosted numerous car events for other clubs, all have raved about it, including the Corvette Club which will be holding their event two weeks after ours.  If you have any further questions, please contact me, and I look forward to seeing all of you again.  Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Hey Brian, hopefully Nichole and I can make it! We may need to tow the car in—just wanted to check if parking a truck and trailer would be an issue?

No problem at all. I'm told there is plenty of places to park a trailer.

Coming North to the winery from the exit off I-77, you turn right at the top of the ramp, then right again onto Twin Oaks Road to head towards the winery which is a couple of miles South. Go past the main exit (Cabernet Lane) which is on the right side of the road and turn right at the next opportunity (Oregon Trail).  There's ample room (three large parking lots) for truck and trailer parking.  Take a look on Google Maps and satellite view.
