Title: Convertible top replacement questions
Post by: Bill on January 10, 2025, 07:59:41 AM
For years now I've been contemplating replacing the incorrect white convertible top on 2642 with a proper black convertible top. Up until now I've had the mindset if it's not broken, do not mess with it. Well, after playing musical cars yesterday, I've discovered that the rear glass seal has finally let go.

So now the new dilemma is, can this be properly repaired, or, what will be the best replacement top supplier be?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

That you can repair, according to previous topics (long time ago), plus a how-to that was included in a past issue of the Registry, if I recall correctly?  Or was it a Snakebite?

I'm looking for a permanent repair as I do use the car, and on occasion, the top does go up, usually for storage purposes.

Google was not much help, even when narrowing the search to the saacforum.

Any other guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Perfect, thanks, once the freezing rain is gone (Monday) I'll take a look at the three local shops to see which I get a better vibe from.
