Hello all, Jesse is getting my drums together and I will be ready to put my 65 rear end together! I am missing the correct differential tag. I believe I remember Marti was making repos along time ago but looking for an original if anyone can help.
Might want to provide the date range your looking for if that is important to you.
Just a thought

Also depending on the date will determine what engineering number will be on the tag. ;)

Thanks bob!! I have been so out of it since the shelby was finished that I forgot everything. Build date of car is jan 65, case is dated 4K it's a bit early but was the best choice at the time. With that being said can you help me determine an acceptable tag. I looked at the tag on the 66 but not sure if the 65s tags were different. Thanks for the help.

I am a little confused on what you are working on now but on genuine 65 GT350's the early cars came with a C5ZA-B 3.89 open rear end marked tag that Shelby added the Detroit Locker to at SA . On later built cars SA paid Ford to do the Detroit locker install from the Ford assemblyline and those later cars tags were marked C5ZX-A most likely related to that change. 66 GT350 had different C6ZX marked tags

Hi Bob, yes that is correct its for a 65 build not for our 66. Thanks so much for that info. I am sure no one has one or they would have chimed in already. Always appreciate your wealth of knowledge and memory because mine is going lol.
