Just asking, but whaat is the difference? if its a date code thing, which is which?

Length of reinforcing tab. I don't have pictures, maybe JD will post. Originally thought only first couple hundred cars had them but seen cars in 6-700 range with them

I have seen both, as my friend restores them, so the short tabs are for early cars? thats what I was asking.

Most typically seen on earlier production cars.
