Title: Rod replacement - power brake to pedal
Post by: 6s1640 on November 18, 2024, 10:48:10 PM
Hi all,

Does anyone have experience replacing the rod between the power booster and the brake pedal?  I'm working on a power booster with the rod is a quarter inch too long and I want to swap in the old one.  Is the rod held in with a plastic grommet of sort and you just have to jerk it out?

Attached is an image looking inside the brake booster, where the rod is inserted. I don't want to break it. Help needed.

Thanks

Cory

I have had Booster Steve replace the missing rod during a rebuild of the booster. Their part is held in the booster by several steel fingers. I think they sell the part separately:
